Analogy comes from Greek αναλογία, analogy – and sees itself as a proportionality, representation, proportionality.
The idea for the name ANNALOOG came in a period of transition:
in 2000 – as I had visited a course for illustration. I had been prompted to work with my hands – without a copier and computer. There hadn’t been a ‘undo’ button. Each image had been like a “haiku”: created from the moment and unique.
The brush strokes, the power of the image was more noticeable than with computer-generated works. I realized how important was an analogous practise for me as a human being. My hands are tools and materials such as ink and paper are real… And this website? Analog the digital. In this world, there is diversity. Anything and everything at the same time.
